Summary of Project

This project will use a nationally representative survey sample collected in October 2020 by Clemson University, University of Nebraska Medical Center and National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, to examine the potential role of state-level telehealth policies in reducing urban-rural disparity in healthcare utilization during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since there were variation between states in telehealth policy, the analysis of the survey data will provide us with an opportunity to examine whether these telehealth policy initiatives at the state level would attenuate the urban-rural disparity in healthcare utilization during the Covid-19 pandemic, an issue very relevant for future policy regarding telehealth regulation
