CDC TRAIN Learning Network

These modules are designed to provide education for school and healthcare professionals about Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) including concussions. There are courses available for school professionals including nurses, staff, athletic coaches, and more. There are also modules specifically designed to educate healthcare professionals. Modules are available in Spanish language. Upon completion of some modules a certificate will be issued. Some module certificates may be eligible for CEUs under ASHA. Information for CEU module eligibility as well as instructions on the process of how to submit for CEUs can be found on each module.

HEADS UP to Healthcare Providers Online Training for School NursesThe course largely focuses on the clinical recommendations in the CDC Pediatric mTBI Guideline. By the end of this training, participants will be equipped with practical strategies to integrate CDC’s evidence-based recommendations into their clinical practice.
HEADS UP to Schools: Online Concussion Training for School ProfessionalsThis training course on concussion, developed by the CDC, is designed specifically for school professionals. School professionals play an important role in the recovery process for students experiencing concussion symptoms. This course will empower you to better support students recovering from concussion through understanding, monitoring, and accommodating their individual needs.
HEADS UP to Healthcare Providers Online Training for Medical ProfessionalsThis training course, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), is designed to provide clinical guidance for healthcare providers on evidence-based practices for the diagnosis, prognosis, and management of pediatric mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).
