Yejide Kincaid: Paramedic

Yejide obtained her EMT certification through the MEMS Rookie program. She worked for MEMS for three years. She later used her EMT skills to travel with the FEMA Disaster team for two years. Yejide uses her knowledge and EMT skills part-time as a labor and post-partum doula and full-time with the Stroke Program. She joined the team in 2024.

KaTrina Hendrix: Paramedic

KaTrina began her career by attending the MEMS EMT program in 2016 in 2016. She was named the 2016 Rookie of the Year. After completing five years of service, KaTrina broadened her knowledge and experience by joining the EMS team at Pine Bluff Arsenal, where she specialized in chemical treatments and incidents. She joined the Stroke Program in 2023.

Miranda (Randi) Eldridge: Paramedic

Randi graduated from ASU Beebe with a paramedic degree and her Associate of Applied Science. She has spent the last eight years working with NorthStar EMS. She joined the Stroke Program in 2023.

Morgan Hess: Paramedic

Morgan attended EMT school at MEMS Ambulance Service, where, upon graduation, she worked for the following five years. She then joined the Arkansas Air Ambulance, where she has worked for the past year. She joined the Stroke Program in 2023.

Patrick Peske: Paramedic

Patrick graduated from EMT school at Texarkana College in 2008. After EMT school, he started working for LifeNet in Hot Springs, Malvern, and Hot Springs Village. In 2018, he graduated from the UAMS Paramedic program and continued working for LifeNet. He joined the Stroke Program in 2022.

Samantha Hanard: NREMT

Samantha graduated from Pulaski Tech in 1992 as a Paralegal.  She attended EMT school with MEMS and worked for EMS for 4 years.  She joined the Stroke Program in 2017.

Natalie Johnson, MS

Journey Woods, RN

Journey was born and raised in north central Arkansas. In 2013, she graduated with her nursing degree from the University of Arkansas Community College Batesville. Prior to joining the IDHI Stroke Program in June of 2024, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at some of the program’s participating hospitals, including White River Health, White River Health Cherokee Village, and Unity Health White County Hospital. Her experience and expertise as an ED RN and former nurse facilitator for the program make her an excellent fit for the role of Clinical Nurse Educator!

Amanda Johantgen, RN, NRP, FP-C

Amanda Johantgen joined the UAMS IDHI Stoke Program in 2024 with a background in nursing and paramedicine. Amanda started her career in healthcare as an EMT and completed her paramedic degree in 2012. After working for a local EMS service, Amanda went to work with Air Evac Lifeteam where she flew as a flight paramedic while attending nursing school. Amanda graduated with an Associate degree in nursing from Dyersburg Community College in 2019 and transitioned into a flight nurse role with Air Evac. During this time, she also worked in the emergency room for several rural hospitals that actively participate in the stroke program. Before her healthcare career Amanda served eight years in the United States Marine Corps where she advanced through the ranks to E5 Sergeant, gaining valuable leadership experience which she has used throughout her healthcare career.

Daizia Lee, BS

Daizia Lee was born and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas. Daizia graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in Fall 2022. Daizia plans to receive her CHES certification to become a Certified Health Education Specialist and to pursue her master’s degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Public Health.
