e-Link Portal
UAMS e-Link is one of the nation’s largest telemedicine networks with over 25 years of telehealth experience. The e-Link portal is a cloud-based, digital health platform enabling providers, community hospitals, clinics, and their patients to conduct virtual visits through structured and secure workflows designed for consumer and provider needs. The UAMS e-Link Portal is HIPAA-compliant and gives patients access to virtual care from a PC or mobile device. UAMS e-Link customers are entitled to the privileges of UAMS e-Link Consortium Membership.
UAMS e-Link Portal Organization Types
Initial Organization (IO)
The Initial Organization (IO) acts as the main digital hub for a healthcare facility or provider. All branding associated with the IO will be consistently applied across all subsequent portals, unless noted otherwise. The features listed below are customized and will also be included in all Standard Sub Organizations (SSOs) created under or after the Initial Organization.
- URL (core login page and subsequent directory, meet now, etc.)
- Logo
- Colors
- Email sender address
- Terms and conditions
- Pre-session agreement
- Required or optional address before entering sessions
Branded Sub-organization (BSO)
A BSO offers the ability to change the features below, on Sub-Organizations created after the Initial Organization is developed. This is useful when a specific group or initiative may need independent marketing or needs to stand apart from the IO.
Features include:
- Custom URL (core login page and subsequent directory, meet now, etc.)
- Logo
- Colors
- Email sender address
Standard Sub Org (SSO)
An SSO can be created by the end-user with permission. All SSOs will include the custom features outlined in the IO or BSO before it.
The following features do not require development and can be adjusted by the e-Link support team to suit customer needs:

If the features of an IO are not required, UAMS e-Link offers quick deployment of the Standard Sub Org. This will come as branded by UAMS e-Link and include terms, conditions, consent, and pre-session agreement as provided by UAMS e-Link.
e-Link Hosted Sub Org
The e-Link Hosted Sub Org is a quick, non-branded deployment of the e-Link portal that is ready to use and allows providers the ability to see their patients instantly.
Features include:
- A login address will be issued: portal.uamselink.com
- Select from a list of offered standard configurations
- e-Link Terms and Conditions
- e-Link Consent Form
- e-Link Logos/Notifications
UAMS e-link Portal Admin User Types
Manager: Highest levels of access and approval rights within their assigned organizations.
Org Admin: Fewer approval rights than Managers have.
Scheduler: Minimal access with enough ability to facilitate scheduling requests or help to present patients from remote sites.
Telehealth Resource: Only enough access to the portal to allow for facilitating patients at far site locations.
Provider User Type (Unlimited Sessions): Unlimited video sessions, billed per provider, per month. This is beneficial when providers have a high volume of video sessions/encounters for a month.
Provider User Type (Per Session): The monthly cost is determined by the number of video sessions/encounters per month. This is beneficial when providers have a low volume of video sessions/encounters for a month.

Integration with other Systems
The UAMS e-Link Portal can integrate with existing EMR systems, incorporate the use of different peripheral devices (if not already functional), and by way of APIs can integrate with various tools and systems.

Any custom requests outside of the offerings included with the organization types above.
UAMS e-Link Portal Training Options:
Your UAMS e-Link Portal implementation specialist will provide the training documentation regarding admin/patient/provider user functionality. In-person training sessions can be scheduled to address the admin, patient, and provider portals in detail. An additional training session(s) can be scheduled for support staff to understand customer support and troubleshooting.
Onsite User Training
UAMS e-Link can send a trainer/program manager to the designated customer site for training on the platform and user types/roles.
Remote User Training
UAMS e-Link can host online training sessions for customer staff and appointees for training on the platform and user types/roles.
Administrator User Support
The support center is in the sidebar of the admin portal and contains quick access to frequently asked questions, portal navigation help, and troubleshooting. Administrators can receive 24/7 technical support by emailing elinksupport@uams.edu or by calling (501) 686-8666.
End-User Support
The support center is in the top navigation bar of the provider and patient portals and contains quick access to frequently asked questions, portal navigation help, and troubleshooting. When the support center does not solve an issue, end-users may receive support for technical difficulties by emailing elinksupport@uams.edu or by calling (501) 686-8666.
